My Aim is True, which was a jolly good rock n' roll romp. Don't really get the big deal about Alison though? Absolutely love Mystery Dance though.

It's all in that lyric - there's a fine thematic line between lovesick sorrow and corn and that song treads it perfectly! The guitar motif's pretty damn sweet too.

Great album. Far from my favourite of his though. If you liked it, you'd probably love Trust. Just shout if you want a link eh.

Mystery dance is the most entertaining track on the album. Personally, my favourite album of Costello's too.

Last 7 days:

1 The Beatles 38
I decided to give the blue and red double albums a blast for the first time in ages.
2 Khoiba 31
Very classy czech band with a great downtempo trip hop sound.
3 Megadeth 27
New album was out last week. It's had 3 blast's through so far! Top notch.
4 Napalm 21
A speed/thrash band I last heard 20 years ago. Still holds up very well.
5 Cobalt 20
One of THE metal releases of the year. Any interest in Metal? give them a blast.
6 Alberta Cross 18
Like a heavier Neil Young. This UK band have only a low profile unfortunately.
7 The Southern Death Cult 15
Before they became plain old 'The Cult', Astbury and Duffy were a little mor e off the mainstream with a post punk goth sound.
8 fIREHOSE 14
Funky ass indie rock with a touch of 'post punk' in there.
8 Nneka 14
Nigerian female artist that peddles a Reggae/Soul sound that's pleasant on the ears.
8 The Jimi Hendrix Experience 14
BBC Sessions got a blast through.
11 Mew 12
Unsure about these European art rockers ATM.
12 Liars 9
Odd punk riffs punctuated with odd vocals and samples. Acquired tastes for sure but me likeys.
12 Death in Vegas 9
Rock meets Electric in this mash up that takes in Iggy Pop on it's way.
12 Tapper Zukie 9
Fantastic unreleased on CD Reggae/dub/toasting hybrid. Damn good.
12 Voivod 9
Dimension Hatross is one of the best metal albums ever made and highly original too.
12 The Pop Group 9
Post punk with a politically charged funk edge. Essential
17 Cadence Weapon 8
My new favourite Hip Hop artist ATM.
17 Bowery Electric 8
More seriously downtempo trip hop.
19 Polvo 7
Giving their debut a run through. Check out this months comp if you want to hear them.
20 Camper Van Beethoven 6
First listen to these and not sure at all.
