As a math rock fan, I am used to the concept of bands losing their math. some bands do it well, but Foals went the pitchfork-core indie route and just became a "meh" band for me. But yet again, I'm not a fan of indie so my opinion may be a little off.

Also, I know this wasn't directed to me but I just had to say something.

That's how I feel about Minus the Bear, after their debut. Although I still enjoy their later stuff on occasion, it's nowhere near as good as the first.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I've been meaning to check out their first album.

I honestly wish Math-Loss wasn't a prevalent thing. Almost every Math band is losing their edge. Who's next? This Town Needs Guns? I have a feeling they're next.

It's because the style got old, there's only so many times you can copy Hella and Don Caballero before even the artists themselves get bored. I just hope post-rock gets the message too pretty soon.

hm, true.

But they could try something edgier, like be super-experimental, rather than being another alt-rock pitchfork band.

and Post-Rock is getting the message. It's a slowly dying genre. I don't see many new Post-Rock bands anymore.
