On the Spotify Android app, there's a setting in the options tab that allows you to connect to your last.fm. I think it should be pretty much the same on iPhone.

I use Spotify for Last.fm and I don't need a separate app, but I'm on an Android and maybe it's different with iPhones, I guess. It's right in the settings.

Not going to post a chart, just going to tell a story.

Last night I'm listening to this album called Kat's Karavan.
If you've never heard of it, it's a 4CD box set dedicated to John Peel. Each CD is made up to sound like a John Peel radio show from each decade with clips of him speaking in between songs. So CD 1 is the 70s, CD 2 is the 80s...... you get the idea.

So I'm listening to the 70s CD and one of the bands (Who shall remain nameless) is this band who only ever recorded the one song on this compilation and disappeared without trace.

So I wake up this morning to an email telling me I have a PM from Last FM.
It's from this band saying to me 'Thank You for listening to us, please buy our new single to commemorate the 35 year anniversary of the other one being released.'

This is the only time I have ever listened to this band so be warned......

There are groups of men in their 50s & 60s lurking Last FM who were in bands years ago waiting to see if you listen to them and trying to sell you stuff.
