So... If I already use Spotify, why should I have a Last FM account? What's the advantages? I'm only asking because evidently, people on this site use Last FM.

It accurately tracks what I've been listening to without any effort on my part outside of turning on scrobbling. I think it's most useful when finding something to throw on because you can look at your charts and spark your memory. IIRC, Spotify doesn't offer that data.

That's the main thing, having a catalogue to look at. Also like to see the statistics and get recommendations. Mostly just enjoy tracking, though.

****. I was trying to create and account and it says I've already used that E-mail adress - so that means I've made a Last FM account somewhere back 10 years ago or something. I need to figure that one out before I can get in on this...

Literally the only reason to use Last.FM. I used to use it for the radio stations, but now all I care about is what it says I've listened to.

^Followed back. I'm still trying to get my bearings on what Last FM has to offer/how it's structured. I really can't remember ever usinng it. It must have been way back when it was a plugin in Firefox that just kept throwing you new music recommendations.
