I went through at least 40 songs on the "music tagged pop punk" station on last.fm before I came upon the very borderlined Alkaline Trio. Then about fifteen songs later I got to an MxPx song that I already own, an Offspring song from Americana, and now finally Descendents.

They have an Avril Lavigne song on here for God's sakes, and over 20 run-of-the-mill powerpop bands, not to mention New Found Glory. Shame, shame, shame.

I requested to join the musicbanter group on Last.fm last night. I just got Last.fm and I think it is freakin' awesome. How could anyone not like the genius of that place?

It's calculated by what people listen to the most so if it's full of shit you only have your fellow punk poppers awful taste to blame.

In summery : Try and avoid listening to a shitty genre that appeals to 12 year olds to begin with
