Default Music and driving

It might be just me, but I can only listen to certain songs when I'm in a moving car...any of you share this with me?

Also I find I can't listen to music and JUST be listening to music, I have to be doing something else, like in a car, or on the computer, walking, whatever...I just can't listen to music on its own...

I spend alot of time listening to music and just sitting there listening to it. At least 2 hours day. As for driving Converge Or Dillenger Escape Plan or some grindcore band usually.

Yea, the only time I can really just listen to it is when I'm about to go to sleep, usually Glenn Miller does that.

I don't know, maybe I'm just weird, lol.

Agreed. I have 5.1 surround speakers for my PC, and it plays music for 16 hours a day. Every day. When I turn my PC off I turn on my 100 disc stereo. That gets me through the night. I'm not a big fan of silence.

As for driving, it depends where I'm going. If it's a long road trip, I'm bringing along albums I can listen to all the way through, and lots of live music (Grateful Dead, Phish). Otherwise just driving around town I make a CD every two weeks or so with my current favorites.

I like to listen to music and draw, and see what the drawing turns out like...music unlocks somethin in your head I think, and it's interesting to see what it turns out like when my brain is "unlocked from the music".

i like driving to anything fast, heavy, like alexisonfire (might as well start using the new one) said, converge, dillinger and the like. but if its a road trip, its gotta be something like sabbath or old school rock.

I cant do that. It distracts me so much.. In a good way. Well, not if I listen to something bland and/or sh*t, then I dont get distracted, but its a gazillion times better than listening to nothing. When I was doing my exams and stuff last year and had to actually revise for things, I used to listen to radio, cause it wasnt good enough to distract me, but I hate the lack of music. I pretty much always have something playing..

I cant go on long trips without listening to music. But what music all depends on the atmosphere around you.If im just about to dose off....then its something soothing, but more often then not its a great rock track or something kool to dance to
