yeah I'm feeling lazy so I'm just going to hijack this thread.....
What's so great about seeing your favorite band in concert? I've never been to a concert before but if/when I do go to one it won't be to see my favorite band....I don't want to go see one of my favorites and be disappointed with their live sound.....I'm probably going to have my expectations high because I want to hear the same things I did in the studio version. |
More often than not, the music sounds ten times better live...and most bands don't change the music so drastically that you'd dislike it...in my experience at least.
OT: I'm going to try and see Caribou on March the 5th and/or Gogol Bordello on April 10th... |

The Blackout - 5th Feb 2008 - out of the counrtry, gave the tickets to friends, expect reports back....
Hijack Oscar - 8th Feb 2008, can't wait Band of Horses - 21st Feb 2008, spare ticket still, there is a shortlist mind Gogol Bordello - 28th March - YEY! Nightwish - 31st Mar 2008, don't ask Avril Lavigne - 26 May 2008 |
I haven't got a hell of a lot of money right now, but I'd like to attend Sonic Youth, Okkervil River, Jakob and Immortal. It would have been nice to see Incubus, the Pumpkins and QOTSA, but I don't have the money and tickets are going quickly.
Maiden and Porcupine Tree are playing in Australia but skipping NZ. :( |
See Okkervil River, for me, goddamn 21+ shows.
