Default "Giant Steps" Chord Progression in Elgar Cello Concerto

Has anyone ever noticed that the 2nd movement of Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto (towards the end of the movement, specifically the 17th-to-last to 15th-to-last measures) contains the same harmonic progression as the first few bars of John Coltrane's jazz composition "Giant Steps" (transposed to G Major, without the "major 7th" pitch within chords)?
