I havn't listened to the Velvet Underground, well I have just not to where I can even remember a song. I have Velvet Underground & Nico but i'm not going to listen to that since Nico fucking sucks. Anyone want to suggest an album?

Self titled is good... White Light/White Heat. You might find Loaded more to your liking.

Their first album is amazing, Nico only sings in three songs and in those three songs her voice fits perfectly, but if you still can't get past her than I suggest White light/White heat, Sister Ray is a 17min orgasm.

I can't believe you haven't heard VU's stuff before.
Loaded is my favourite album. Some VU fans say you can't like them if you like Loaded best...which is crap.
It's less avant-garde and more tuneful. Lou Reed without Cale.
Sweet Jane is an all time great.
Even if you don't like Lou Reed , which I think you will seeing as you go for Connor's undurable type voice, you'll love the lyrics...great song writing.
