But this time, Al and Chris decided to formulate their colossal, earth-shaking music sans-guitar. Also withdrawn are the dope references precedently in Sleep's lyrics. Om tackles religious, philosophical, and mystical lyrical themes, fairly anomalous in the stoner metal world. However, these lyrics are not sung, but chanted as if some kind of incantation.

If you're a fan of Sleep, or any doom/stoner metal for that matter, Om just may be for you.

Actually, there is a really good local band(outside of detroit) called Day In Age. And everyone better watch for them, because they're going to be big someday. They are progressive/experimental rock. They draw influences from Bands like Pink Floyd and they are amazing live, recordings dont do them justice.

Yall can check out their music athttp://www.myspace.com/dayinage
