Best Album of all Time

In your opinion what is the best album of all time? For me it's Nine Inch Nails-Further Down the Spiral!

tdoc210 03-24-2006 07:01 PM

this has been done to 1million 58 thousand 3 hundredtimes before

Reznorslave 03-24-2006 07:03 PM

Reznorslave 03-24-2006 07:25 PM

tdoc210 03-24-2006 07:26 PM

its good but at least you like nin

Stone Magnet 03-24-2006 07:36 PM

By the way, I chose Dark Side because it's the only album I've ever heard that I wouldn't change even if I could. Not one thing. Here are some of my 'honourable mentions' though...

Beatles - Abbey Road
Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Black Sabbath - Master Of Reality
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?
Metallica - Master Of Puppets
Nirvana - Bleach
Om - Variations On A Theme
Pink Floyd - Animals
Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine
The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute
Tool - Ænima
Tool - Lateralus

Reznorslave 03-24-2006 07:39 PM

I also really like Wish You Were Here, another Floyd classic!!!

plaese elaborate on what u would change

Stone Magnet 03-24-2006 09:43 PM

I wouldn't necessarily change any of them, it's just that none are as perfect and flow as well as Dark Side Of The Moon. Some come very close, but not quite.

Hmmm, it's hard for to pick just one as the best album of all time, I'll just name my top five, in no real order.

Radiohead - OK Computer
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
Jeff Buckley - Grace
The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute

Best album ever?

I can think of at least 5 Motorhead albums that are better

right-track 03-26-2006 12:14 PM

For it's time (1972) 'The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars'.

do i really have to stick 'in my opinion' before everything to avoid this?

Urban Hat€monger ? 03-26-2006 12:55 PM

Just creating discussing

Anyway , I have a bee in my bonnet about people saying Ace Of Spades is a great album :)

littleknowitall 03-26-2006 12:57 PM

hah, and why good sir is that?

Urban Hat€monger ? 03-26-2006 01:01 PM

Because it`s so average

Overkill , Orgasmatron , Rock n Roll , No Sleep Till Hammersmith & Bomber are much much better albums.

But nobody listens to them because they don`t have Ace Of Spades on them

littleknowitall 03-26-2006 01:09 PM

well i dont listen to them simply 'cause im too poor to buy them, ace of spades is plainly putting it one of the few decent albums in my insignifigant collection, so that's how i came to my decision unfortunately.
