Here are some rubbish "bands"

Cheeky Girls, Westlife, Slipknot, Busted, McFly, korn, papa roach

here is how to find out if a band is crap or not.

1- they have not used more than 5 chords in their entire career.
2 - they have mimed once or more in their career
3 - they have had a dance routine to a song, or dancers in the background
4 - they do not play any instruments
5 - they do not write their own songs
6 - they think image is more important than the music

if a band falls into any of these categories, they are crap

........Also haha! both the main guitarists from Mcfly (Tom n Danny) hav bin playin the guitar since the young age of 5 n then properly learnt sinci the age of 8 so i fink ur rong in sayin they dnt use more than 5 chords throughout their songs...plus if u took time 2 lisen 2 the album ud no that...but u ppl rnt bovered wiv gettin things rite u jst accuse so i wudnt imagine ud lisenin 2 it b4 u go about maikin accusations!!! hope that answers u ok!!!!!

erm...how the F**K do U know that i don't have the albums? I think U will find that i was bought the albums for my bday, i listened to them, i gave them a chance, but I THOUGHT they were CRAP. maybe thats just me, but from th way u have spoken to me, if i saw u in real life, i'd kick the living S**T out of u.

U say they is an ace guitarists, but if they were ace then they would have there names up there with the greats. that is, JIMMY PAGE, ANGUS YOUNG, BRIAN MAY (well.....maybe), HENDRIX, etc.

Or more recent greats....DIMEBAG DARRELL, Dave Mustaine, Hammett, Kerry King, etc

So it seems to me, that it is YOU who should view all the facts b4 makin accusations. Coz I HAD THE F**KING ALBUMS B4 I GOT RID OF THEM.

I used to be in a so-called "punk" band. I had to play aload of greenday songs. Most of them are ok, but the newer ones really p'd me off. they were still ok, but compared with the older one's, they sucked. But my music preference is METAL, and so i kinda left the band, and am now in a thrash metal band. The guitar is much more exciting in my new band. I now have a challenge when learning new songs.

coz if u do, u would have noticed that in the song "air hostess", a total of 4 chords are used!!!!!!!!! BIG F**KING WOW!
and even then, 2 of them are power chords which are just on a diff string.....that is, the exact same finger arrangement, but just moved up a string.....oh, how u need skill for that!!!!!!!!!!!!

the other two chords are a G, and a D. two of the first chords u learn....why? coz they are EASY!!!!

this is more or less typical for most, if not ALL of busted's songs. so now i ask you who is talanted? hmm.....real musicians such as Metallica, megadeth, pantera....etc......who actually DO use a little something called SKILL. you know that thing u get when u PRACTICE, and actually learn techniques such as SOLOING, TAPPING, HARMONICS (natural, forced, and pinched).

hmm...i know. BUSTED are S**T!!

fair enough, u may think they are good, that i can stand. but what i can't stand is people who say they are SKILLED, when they are obv not!

Yes i do play da guitar i am in a band & lead guitarist i didnt say they where skilled i just like there music & think they r fit whats wrong wid dat & they r skilled a bit 4 playin da guitar & singin!!

how about everyone stop with the personal attacks and just agree that this thread is absolutely useless. Honestly, almost every single post is comprised of personal attacks to other members, incoherant shorthand words that people use in IM (ok, i know it's faster but take the TWO EXTRA SECONDS to type out the actual words so the rest of us don't have to go over your post five times to figure out what you're trying to say), or a mix of the two. There's already about 3 other threads dedicated to petty bickering over weather or not Busted suck, do we really need one more?

Well, try READING... those 5 points.. if a band falls under 1 or more of these categories, then they are CRAP.

i dont care who here likes busted, the point is, busted are a crap band. they have brought nothing new to music and are a blotch on musical history.
they are totally based on image, and dancing, and jumping about with their guitars which they are quite obviously not playing.

i have seen them sing live about twice.. and ive seen them hundreds of times (unfortunately)

they are a gimmick boy band, they do NOT write all their own songs, and thunderbirds are go is one of the most awful songs ever made.

busted are crap, and will never in their wildest dreams bring anything new or exciting to music.

but if you like them, fair enough. good for you. have fun.

Rock isn't about the image. My Grandma could look more rock then busted. Rock is about the music, its about the passion!
ok, so people might like busted, but they don't deserve any kudos!
bands which deserve respect are those who actually ROCK!

etc

these are all Great bands and in my opinion deserve all the kudos they get.
it is bands like these that you should be listening to. it is bands like these that influenced so many kids to start playing instrumnts. it is bands like these that keep rock alive! if they stopped rocking, then the busted fans would have their day, and rock would be no more, there would be no more expressing views through music like megadeth, it would all be CRAP!

I finally figured out who busted are. I saw their video when I visited Ireland...pop punk at its finest I must say. Just curious...if you like Nirvana then you have to take back your 5 chord rule...but he didn't claim to be good. And also have you tabbed out all their songs? How do you know how many chords they have. For all you know the guitarist could be amazing but he could chose not to play very good. I don''t like the music but unless your in a band that is making money and touring then you have no room to talk...

and why does a band have to be touring and making money before you have room to talk?

the reason i play the guitar and am in a band, isn't to make money, its to express myself. when playing music, you can make people feel how you are feeling. you can take them on a far away trip, yet they don't even move. if i could touch just one person emotionally with the music we play, it would all be worth the stress which sometimes comes with a band!!!!

I meant your really preachy. Who are you to judge what others like. As for my money comment, it was about their making money and a living at what their doing so they can't suck completely if people are buying their cd. Also I am in a band that plays quite frequently but doesn't have a reliable site (DAMN LACK OF FUNDS!). And I'm all about helping people escape their lives and just melt away in musical bliss. I love it when it happens to me and when I can give that to people. So all I'm saying is keep and open mind
