Glad you liked them. Unfortunately my room still feels like a mess, cz it's was made for me when I was 3 years old, so there's still some weird puppets and dolls. Still have a third wall to paint, maybe I'll do it this week.

Mojo 09-07-2009 04:39 AM

Any idea what you're gonna put on it?

NumberNineDream 09-07-2009 05:45 AM

^^ That SRV one is pretty cool. I'd have one of those myself.

storymilo 09-12-2009 09:09 PM

Who's that 3rd from the top? I can never remember what people look like

Dr_Rez 09-13-2009 02:38 AM

I typically go to concerts and grab the extra posters or get a bunch of local ones from the record store. This way there origonal. A bunch of mine are handmade or from the actual vinyls.

I think original s the way to go! I will never buy one!

333 09-13-2009 09:23 AM

I like to keep it fairly simple:

I've a tattered and torn poster of this above my bed. It's in shambles and I love that the most about it.

I love Alex Grey and this is one of my favorite paintings by him.

Incredible album. I have the vinyl cover pinned up next to my bed.

Same here. I have a wall that I dedicated to ticket stubs and such, but other than that I only have a Flight of the Conchords poster.

I have tickets on my wall too, although it used to be reasonably impressive but isnt now. I've lost a few and then theres Newcastle arena who take them off you and dont give you them back. Nazi's.

Thank you:D There is a great record store where I live that also sells posters so I get all of mine (all 3!) there

Edit: Also I love that Dylan one, I think it's really cool that he's playing bass in it

scottsy 09-26-2009 08:16 PM

Man, I really love that Floyd poster... some amazing juxtaposation of their album art....I want that one!

Rickenbacker 09-26-2009 08:20 PM

Shame the Division Bell is so present in the background... such a bad album. Floyd had zero relevance in 96.

scottsy 09-26-2009 08:27 PM

Yeah, and the Division Bell was just such a rehash of all their previous styles and adventures in sound... sounded just a bit too Floyd By numbers to be considered anything great. I am glad they decided to pack it in in terms of making new music, it was, I'm afraid, time to stop and not tarnish their glorious past.

I always considered that era of Pink Floyd basically solo Gilmour masquerading as "Pink Floyd" anyway.

Yeah, I have that one too, but when did he ever play bass on a record? The image must be taken from either the Highway 61 Revisited or the Blond on Blonde sessions.

Basically that's what it was... I am just thinking that putting the Pink Floyd name on it with all the fanfare attached brought in the recognition and the bucks... and of course justified more lucrative touring...

Buta relevant Floyd in the 90's... nup. Apart from nostalgists, there wasn't anyone listening....

kristina 09-28-2009 10:01 AM

I have a poster of Lennon (Lennon Murphy that is) which I got years ago from her online street team.
1 poster of Lila McCann (Something In the Air cover art)
1 Avril Lavigne poster (don't remember where I bought it)
1 Mandy Moore poster (I think I bought it in Florida years ago when she was a teen pop singer)
1 Evanescence poster (bought at Spencer Gifts)
1 Dream poster (also a street team win)
1 Norah Jones poster (not sure where I got that one)

Also I have a few LeAnn Rimes pin-ups on my door. Also a pin-up of Stacie Orrico, and a pin-up of the cast of That Thing You Do!
Those have probably been hanging on the door since we moved in the house ten years ago or so.

scottsy 09-28-2009 09:10 PM

Funny how posters seem to stick to houses.... they kinda become familiar points of reference. methinks! My sister had posters still up bands / actors she'd long lost interest in, but it was just familar and homely for her, I guess!

I have a few others, but they've been posted already. That isn't a picture I took, but I have that same poster. Mine is an original and pretty much has a whole wall devoted to it. Mine also has a lot cooler frame :P

My dad collects band posters and this one was handed down to me.

bigtex 10-06-2009 11:04 PM

posters

i got the ok computer radiohead poster, rhcp, foo fighters, and im waiting on my muse poster...you can never have enough

scottsy 10-07-2009 10:32 PM

That's a really darn striking poster... one I wouldn't be ashamed to put on my own apartment wall!

osok 10-08-2009 09:47 PM

Duran Duran
Michael Jackson
Falco

scottsy 10-08-2009 10:01 PM

I had an awesome Kid A poster some years ago... I'd kill to get that poster back, because it ruled!
