Listen to his falseto vocals on Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Station To Station and other 70s stuff.... Then his great tenor vocals on Let's Dance and a lot of his 80s work.... He's no Freddie Mercury but he still has a pretty impressive vocal range, being able to go from high to low like that... And i agree with Urban, he has one of the most unique voices around, not a bad singer at all.

Had you said to me a few years back i`ll be listening to a band who wrote old English folk rock with a female vocallist I would have laughed in your face.

Yet they`re strangly compelling
