Whoa! That a nice surprise. I really need to listen to Townes Van Zandt - have seen very high praise of him here from Bat and you.

(P.S.: I went to an exhibition at The Whitney years ago, and saw Yoko Ono's white chess set. I liked the concept! What is it with me and white objects LOL?)

Cool

Laraaji Celestrana Deep Chimes Meditation

This is a little more abstract but imo it’s on a higher level.

I was recently introduced to Todd Gautreau's work as Tapes & Topographies by a friend who composes ambient music. I immediately added his 9-album discography to my sleep music library.

I see that OH mentioned his Fathoms LP on 02-26-2018 in the Drone/Ambient 2018 thread here. Very cool.

So far I've got:

2014 - Tapes and Topographies
2016 - Soft Decibels
2017 - Signal to Noise
2018 - Fathoms
2018 - Insomnia Drones
2018 - Opiates
2019 - Ubiquitous Clouds
2020 - A Pulse of Durations
2020 - Inoculations

Here's a taste for the unfamiliar:

Quote:
Plankton is a unique artistic collaboration between biologist Christian Sardet, visual artist Shiro Takatani and musician Ryuichi Sakamoto. In 2016 the three men debuted an art installation at Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art in Kyoto, Japan showcasing Sardet’s unbelievable images of microscopic plankton. These photos were paired with a video installation by Takatani and music composed by Sakamoto.
This release features the whole score composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto for this unique art installation.

Thanks for remembering! I have Long Ambients Vols I and II which includes LA1-LA17 but hadn't incorporated them into my sleep sets. Thanks for the tip!
