Default hey, hey, hey we're the Monkeys

The Monkees VS. SClub 7

things these two bands have in commen:

there both tv shows
there more popular because of there tv shows
there more popular because there tv show was better then there music
there stupid
can't play instruments
Bubble Gum Pop

well I go with the Monkees because I loved watching there tv show when I was a kid, and plus davie was just so cute anyways and he also guess stared on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which is a upper in my books... cause he sang. There songs were annoyingy catchy and the show was stupid but funny. I know they actually didn't play any instruments? but hell they were acting most of the time.

SClub 7 was a ok show. There show was better then there music.. because really if there;s going to be 7 memebers shouldn't at least one of them know how to play a instrument? anyways, Rachel was my favorite, and that one song she sang "miss you" was the song I really liked.. only cause I was young and it was a bitter sweet song..

so go ahead and vote away.

I don't know the monkees, but if they're comparable to S club, I guess they both suck ass as hard as the other...

Well no because they`re a SINGING group.

You never hear people complain The Supremes , The Jackson 5 or The Four Tops didn`t play instruments.

Well I don't see why the Supremes were popular anyways.. and for the type of group they were and in the times... the girls didn't play instruments. The Jackson 5ive were a bouch of kids, run by there parents.

Urban, I know you like S Club 7 so what happened to them? Where are they now?

What do you mean 'in the times' , there has always been singing groups?

And they were popular because they had good singing voices and sang good songs.
Since when do you need to play an instrument to be a good singer?

Outside writers & producers , backing & offstage musicians happen in ALL genres of music , not just pop.

well it was a long time ago, and it was a women girl group and it was bassed on singing.. it pretty much ran around that one girl.

you don't, but it shows more talent in groups if they can do more thensing, mostly when there's one main singer and the other two just seem to be back up... if its going to be like that, then why not play your own instruments?

I know. Many bands seems to have liek three memebers, where one plays drums and another plays base, and another plays guitar.. and then if ever another instrument is in a song.. sure its going to be another person thats not really a part of the band... not saying there's anything wrong about that.

groups = to one always getting more attention, and sings more then the rest, then it just seems like one is the singer and the others are just there for 'group look' and are just relaly back up singers.

bands = every one has a real part.. some oen sings, and each person plays a instruments; and or the singer plays a instruement or just sings.. but either way everyone has a part.. and the singer may have a extra part if he/she plays and sings.

Eh?

They`re not onstage for a 'group look' they`re onstage to sing harmonies and their own vocal parts.Which are just as important as any other instrument.

These shows contained pitiful examples for bands...

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

I used to watch that show S Club 7 and I liked the band's music. I didn't like it too much when Paul left though.

I liked the Monkees. I prefer them to S Club 7 but never saw the show.

I'd vote, but the option I'm looking for doesn't exist.
And I think it's kinda wierd to judge any music group based on their tv shows.

My 2 cents
