VMA awards

Who do you guys think should win at least one VMA award? It doesn't have to be someone from the poll. I just chose some bands that I think should win one.

Urban Hat€monger ? 08-05-2006 03:38 PM

What a sorry line up

sleepy jack 08-05-2006 03:39 PM

How can you even compare most of these...

Sorry they were just random.

Raine 08-05-2006 04:45 PM

what the hell?
Don't you like death metal?
Who the heck i Ne-yo?

and pearl jam should win the award for crumbiest band ever. And when they pick up their award everyone should throw stones at them.

MoonlitSunshine 08-05-2006 04:48 PM

Or just you. and everyone will point and laugh. Pearl Jam rock.

Stone Magnet 08-05-2006 04:49 PM

"10,000 Days" is the best album I've heard so far this year (by a band in that list), so I chose Tool.

MoonlitSunshine 08-05-2006 04:51 PM

There's no way I could choose from that list. Too many good bands.

I hope you're joking.
If not, your previous opinion just became null and void.

In your null and void opinion.

MoonlitSunshine 08-05-2006 04:57 PM

What? Did you READ the list?

Pearl Jam, Megadeth, Korn, Audioslave, Jimi Hendrix (although how he'd collect it is beyond me), Green Day (ish). Nirvana (same as Jimi), Tool..

Point taken?

ok then.
I assumed you were refrringt oe evry name on the list.
And pearl jam isn't deserving of an award unless it's worst band ever.

and neyo rings a bell (if I'm pronouncing it right)

tdoc210 08-05-2006 05:07 PM

i vote tool

Raine 08-05-2006 05:09 PM

I must concede. Tool does look like the appropiate option.
Since all the other noteworthy bands don't have all their members.
And the rest just suck

MURDER JUNKIE 08-05-2006 05:34 PM

Obviously GWAR

holdyoualways 08-05-2006 05:36 PM

well of COURSE im gonna say afi

:)

swim 08-05-2006 05:42 PM

[what's vma?] Tool.

Blain 08-05-2006 05:46 PM

http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2006/... Half of your list isn't even nominated (Assuming this is what your talking about) seriously where'd you pick up this crap? Like Linkin Park, although I'm a fan they havn't released a song (Besides that excuse for a remix with Jay-Z that was entertaining for about 2 weeks) in about 3 years. And Nirvana lol? You're smokin crack aren't ya kid?

And for those of you asking who Ne-Yo is his songs are now going onto the radio, one of them is called...Radio is it? Although I had a soft spot for that song, now he's released a song called Sexy Love and that's ruined it:(

No no no this isn't for the ones that were nominated, I was just putting bands up that would be good to earn an award whether they're nominated or not.

It was just a wondering kind of thread.

Blain 08-06-2006 01:52 AM

But still, alot of the bands here havn't released an album/song in ages, and a band like Nirvana... Kurt Cobain has been dead for what is it...12 years, and Jimi Hendrix? 36 years ago, I just don't see the point in nominating people/bands like that.

Laces Out Dan! 08-06-2006 02:43 PM

I voted JIMI Hendrix

MoonlitSunshine 08-06-2006 02:45 PM

ha, I didn't notice that you wrote it. And I'd even wrote Jimi myself..

Merkaba 08-06-2006 03:48 PM

Music videos belong to Tool.

that was nice

Merkaba 08-07-2006 02:47 AM

Yeah I've seen their videos.

You'd expect them to be class since Adam Jones has worked on the special effects for Terminator 2 and on other movies like Jurassic Park, Nightmare on Elm Street etc.

He's a great visuals artist.

kelly2626 08-08-2006 07:36 PM

cassie

The Dave 08-09-2006 08:21 AM

Jimi should win a generation award at the vma's.

jaded 08-28-2006 10:31 PM

what do you mean umm wha you see what i wrote

_Spinning_ 08-28-2006 10:31 PM

Didn't Dave go to Foo Fighters because Kurt killed himself? -sigh-

jaded 08-28-2006 10:33 PM

fine..i had my moment

_Spinning_ 08-28-2006 10:36 PM

Correction, Dave didn't "Go" anywhere.

He recorded an album, by himself then recruited band members.

The album he recorded was released as The Foo Fighters debut album.

And now you know, the Foo Fighters 1st recording, wasn't the Foo Fighters at all.

jaded 08-28-2006 10:37 PM

now you just rubbing it in
