MMMM, let's see:

Un****ingbelievable-
Sonic Youth

Good-
Flaming Lips
Bob Dylan
The White Stripes
The Black Keys
Richard Thompson (Twice, great both times)
Tom Morello (twice solo, once with the Axis of Justice tour)
Meat Puppets
Ziggy Marley
Mavis Staples

Mediocre-
Lou Reed, but only because the set was so short
Franz Ferdinand
Mute Math
T-Bone Burnett

Awful-
The Police
Built to Spill
The Black Angels
Dr. Dog

There are others that aren't worth mentioning.

I'm seeing The Breeders Thursday, and Tom Waits, Daniel Johnston, and The Black Keys in the near future.

Some of the best shows I've seen:
Polyphonic Spree (2007)
Kid Koala/Amon Tobin (2004)
Man-Man (2004)
Flaming Lips (2002)
My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult (2001)
Foetus (2001)
Tortoise (2001)
Squirrel Nut Zippers (2000)
Tom Waits (1999)
Spearhead (1999)
Los Fabulosos Cadillacs (1999)
KMFDM (1998)
Heretix (1998)
Lords of Acid (1997)
Trans Am (1997)
James Taylor Quartet (1996)
Bob Mould (1995)
Siouxsie & the Banshees (1992)

Most disappointing shows I've seen:
White Stripes (2003)
Colonel Claypool's Bucket Of Bernie Brains (2003)
Violent Femmes (2002)
REM (1995)

Flat-out worst shows I've been dragged to:
Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band (1992)
New Kids On the Block/Tiffany (1989)

Most abrupt ending of a show I've ever seen:
Make Believe (2004—Toward the end of the first song of their set, the singer swung the microphone by the cord and accidentally hit the guitarist in the head, knocking him out. Paramedics came and took him to the hospital, and that was the end of the show.)

Eric Clapton - 9
The Who - 10

I know I suck...but none of my friends like going to concerts and neither do my parents.

Arcade Fire have to be top of my list, energetic and really into what they were doing.

Joseph Arthur...Simply beautiful

Elvis Costello in 1979 (I know I'm OLD!) absolutely brilliant tho he threatened to walk off cos kids were spitting at him.

Death Cab for Cutie...I love them but wish that their gig could have been a bit more intimate. Everything was belted out.

Elbow...Brilliant even tho at the time I hardly knew any of their songs.

They put on a better show than RATM at the Big Day Out IMO.

Maybe missing out on seeing them last year wasn't so unlucky then...

Yeah, maybe they were better back in their heyday, or maybe they were just having an off night, but considering how much good music they've produced, their live show was kind of weak.

I have seen over 500 concerts in my life, so I'm not going to rate them.

Some of the best

U2 (always solid and inspiring)
Crowded House (pure fun)
Coldplay (early club shows were great)
Rolling Stones
BoDeans
Tommy Conwell & The young Rumblers
Peter Gabriel (like live theater)

Worst

Van Morrison (drunk and sloppy)
Smashing Pumpkins (like listening to planes take off and land for 2 hours)
Smash Mouth (he can't sing)
Third Eye Blind (see Smash Mouth)
