America: Peter Gabriel - "Sledgehammer"
Britain: Madonna - "Papa Don't Preach"
Australia: Whitney Houston - "The Greatest Love of All"

Would it be rude of me to tell Madonna that her song was number one in Britain when I was born? I think it would be funny. Like, "Hey, did you know that you're so old that you peaked when I was born?"

I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney Houston

Meh.

Eddie Money deserves mention, at #1 or Not. The musicianship on all of his albums were outstanding musicians within themselves. Good studio production as well I might add.
