No what makes them good is they make beautiful music and very talented music. You judge and decide to like bands based on their fanbase, your opinion is usually wrong.

because either band is like have such huge fan base unlike, say sdr, and sigur ros. Yeah. opinions aren't wrong , they are opinions.

If you want beautiful music go listen to some Renaissance pieces by Mozart, or Beethoven.
