What album should i get my mum for her birthday?
 

I need some help!!

I want to get my mum some new music but im totally stuck for ideas!

she listens to:
Moby
Coldplay
Sting
U2
Mogwai
and not much else.

I thought of maybe some electronic influenced post-rock.. Tortoise, Do Make Say Think or God Is An Astronaut maybe. I also thought of My Bloody Valentine...

those are all pretty much very mellow sounding groups, moms like mellow.

why not just get her an album by one of the prior bands you listed if you know she likes them?

Because it's always good to find a new band.

If she's into singer/songwriter stuff then get the Grace album by Jeff Buckley.
