So how do you get good by not picking up an instrument?

i never said they never played instruments before they got into the beatles i just said when the beatles started they sucked at playing.. cause they did.. only because they didn't challege themsevles and stuck to the sameish cords..

Um , you do realise that when they formed the Beatles they`d already spent 3 years touring as The Quarrymen.I would imagine playing gigs for 3 years day in day out sometimes playing more than one show a day would make you pretty good at what you do.

You said that when they started the beatles they just picked whatever instrument they liked.
You never said they did this as kids

AND to add to what Urban said, Ringo had already been touring with Rory Storm and The Hurricanes for quite a few years before the beatles
