fuck! why are belle and sebastian now in the lead?

I'm more surprised people are voting for Brand New.
I'm not up to speed on everything they've done but what I have heard they don't sound any different to the MTV dross that usually gets slated around here.

One of those bands where you can hear one of thier songs and think you've heard it 100 times before because absolutley nothing stands out about it.
