Default Wonderwall Help

Ok. My dilema happens to be that just a little under a week ago I heard wonderwall for the first time ever. Start to finish. As I listened, I attempted to identify the band. I thought, "man, that's easy, that has to be Smashing Pumpkins." I stayed tune in hopes of having the DJ announce the name of the band. Wouldn't you know he names Oasis. Now, I do not deny that Oasis sings the song, hell, I have it. But I know that I heard it not with Oasis. I found another version of the song with Radiohead. Now, that sounded more like what I heard but apparently they were just goofing around. It's only like a minute long. If anybody knows what I'm talking about please, announce this mystery singer to me. They sound like Smashing Pumpkins or Radiohead (TO ME. I DO NOT MEAN TO OFFEND ANYONE). Raspy, rolling voice. Oasis to soft and mellow. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Funnily enough, Radiohead did cover it as a joke on a radio 1 show (steve lamacq or some such), but they stop halfway through. It was (in the pre-mp3 days) one of the most sought-after rarities...

Anyway it's not them. But maybe it was one of these lot? The Covers Project:

No, it ain't Ryan Adams. I've heard his version and it's definitly not him. Like I said, picture Radiohead but a complete version of the song. Anyway, thanks for your help.
