Days in December
So this didn't really get the response I wanted in the emo forum. I guess cause they aren't super 1337 curr3nt sKR4mz band yo. I've actually grown to prefer the 90s stuff. I think some of you might actually like this but bring the negative comments on, I don't care.
Definitely not the shite UK band. They were a mid 90's midwest, Illinois to be exact, indiemo [midwest mid 90's indiemo=soft tone poppy vocals, chill junk] band who's only official release was the Sweater Weather split on Polyvinyl. Which has just one song from them, Main In Vine, which is a really wonderful song. But they did a live set on the radio which has like four more songs that are also pretty good. This is great, I'm listening to that Main In Vine track and I'm loving it. Any other bands like these guys that you would reccomend? Besides Bells On Trike which I'm getting now.

The obvious Boys Life, Christie Front Drive and Texas is the Reason. Which the best release to between the three of them is the Boys on Life/Christie Front Drive split and other than that there isn't too much to scream about. Good releases but nothing amazing.
The 2 Kolya 7"s are essential. http://www.musicbanter.com/hardcore-...087-kolya.html Lumber and Cedar of Lebanon are pretty good. Hour of the Star's 7" is a must have. State Route 522.zip |
Koyla and State Route are both great. To be honest, I never really cared much for TITR but it's been a while sine I've given them a fair listen. I'm going to chekc out Lumber next and then Cedar of Lebanon
