Best Debut Album: Round 1: Poll Y

So to people who weren't around for the last set of these, I post two polls and they stay open for three days and you vote for whatever you feel like, in this case the debut album you like best, think is the best or whatever. The top two go onto the next round.

I vote for I Would Set Myself On Fire For You.

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-29-2007 05:06 PM

Blue Lines was totally revolutionary , much more than anything else on there so i'll vote for that.

cardboard adolescent 06-29-2007 05:58 PM

I wouldn't say that, Entertainment and ITCOTCK were both pretty revolutionary, imo.

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-29-2007 05:59 PM

Yeah but I wasn't around to see the effects of it.

Fair enough, I was probably a bit too young to appreciate the importance of Blue Lines at the time, and it's never really struck a chord with me (unlike Mezzanine) so I just went with my favourite... Entertainment.

littleknowitall 06-29-2007 06:36 PM

ergh, cant say im particularly fond of any, but masive attack i suppose.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 06-29-2007 06:52 PM

King Crimson, definitely. Massive attack would have been my second choice though.

The rusted chains of prison moons
Are shattered by the sun.
I walk a road, horizons change
The tournament's begun.
The purple piper plays his tune,
The choir softly sing;
Three lullabies in an ancient tongue,
For the court of the crimson king.

Blues lines

The Unfan 06-30-2007 06:12 AM

It a was a hard choice but King Crimson. Neuropathia almost got my vote though.

I always preferred Blue Lines to Mezzanine.

I vote Gang of Four

Absolutely epic.

Definitely King's Crimson's debut. Red is my favourite album of theirs though.

Gang Of Four, just

lesssalt 06-30-2007 02:10 PM

I pick King Crimson "In The Court Of The Crimson King," but
Massive Attack's "Blue Lines" is a close second. I love that Bill Cobham sample at the start of safe from harm.

The Dave 06-30-2007 05:06 PM

The one with the longest name.

Inuzuka Skysword 06-30-2007 09:31 PM

King Crimson, definitely.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 06-30-2007 09:39 PM
