American wisdom request
Hey guys,
I need some help from the Americans around here. My grandmother lives in indeianaplois and wants to buy me a cd. Now I don't know what kind of music shops they have there. But I know she will probably go straight to walmart or where ever. So here's the question: Is there any cd of quality to find in the american supermarkets? (Preferably indierock, or electronicrock) Or will I have to settle with the pussycat dolls... I need names to email to her, thanks! |
If she goes to Wal Mart your cd's are gonna be censored homie.
That's not punk, not punk at all. |
Tell her to find a Best Buy or FYE, something along those lines. And actually, at least in Detroit, the selection at like a best buy is fairly expansive. I'd give her a list of like 10 or 12 cds in order of which you want most and let her go from there.

FYE is ridiculously overpriced, CDs cost twice as much their as anywhere else. Their selection maybe good in comparison to other chain stores but the prices aren't worth it at all.
|
ya i would try and get her to a best buy before a walmart. however if she is going to goto walmart target etc anyways ask for something very mainstream you like and they might actually have it in stock.
|
If they have a Virgin store in Indy, till her to shop there.

Best Buy and Circuit City have a better selection than wally world and are fairly priced. FYE has good stuff, but it costs a lot. Virgin and Tower record stores are really good and are reasonably priced and there more than likely is at least one of those two in Indy.

I'm impatient. Internet is like Plan Z for me. I would rather pay more to have something in my hands in the same day.
