Let's face it, mainstream music sucks today. Who are your favorites amongst the piles garbage like Akon and Chingy and Nickelback etc. ?

pearl jam, red hot chili peppers, rage against the machine, incubus, modest mouse, white stripes, the strokes, tool, weezer.... many others

You mean their overall body of work(Chili Peppers), or what they're making right now(Maroon 5, my recently aqquired guilty pleasure)?

Weezer, Alexisonfire.

Not garbage, but slowly loosing interest in their music (newer stuff anyway).

Depends on how you define mainstream.

I hate most of todays mainstream radio stuff. But I hate emo and indie a tad more.

I'd endure Nickelback over Broken Social Scene, probably.

I too am ashamed to admit I listen to Maroon 5, so I won't. Oops
