The Top 50 Songs(Rough Draft, No Order)
Criteria:
Musicianship: How well the musicians do in the song(Includes vocals) Lyrics: How good the lyrics are. Melody: How good the melody is. Arrangments: How well the song is arranged. Beat: How good the beat is. Longevity: Is the song still remembered as a classic? 21st Century Shizoid Man-King Crimson Drift Away-Dobie Gray Dock of the Bay, Otis Redding Good Vibrations, Beach Boys Like a Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan Spirit in the Sky, Norman Greenbaum Heroin, The Velvet Underground Sound of Silence-Simon and Garfunkel While My Guitar Gently Weeps-The Beatles Gimme Shelter-The Rolling Stones Us and Them-Pink Floyd Time-Pink Floyd Echoes-Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd Two Headed Boy Part 2.-Neutral Milk Hotel Hey Ya-OutKast 405-Death Cab for Cutie Baba O'Riley-The Who Dream On-Aerosmith Julia-The Beatles Blackbird-The Beatles The Times They Are A-Changin'-Bob Dylan Knockin' On Heaven's Door-Eric Clapton Landslide-Fleetwood Mac All Along the Watchtower-Jimi Hendrix Stairway to Heaven-Led Zeppelin God Only Knows-The Beach Boys Beautiful Day(As much as I hate U2)-U2 Jump-Van Halen For No One-The Beatles Roxanne-The Police Hypnotize-Biggie Won't Get Fooled Again-The Who Godzilla-Blue Oyster Cult Bhohemian Rhapsody-Queen Heart of Gold-Neil Young Pink Moon-Nick Drake Roundabout-Yes Stan-Eminem Thriller-Michael Jackson Tomorrow Never Knows, The Beatles A Day In the Life-The Beatles Respect-Aretha Franklin Bring the Noise-Public Enemy Don't Believe the Hype-Public Enemy America-Simon and Garfunkel Tom Sawyer-Rush Ok, this isn't 50, and it's not in order, and I did it in a few minutes so I obviously criminally overlooked a lot of stuff. I'm not going for exactly 50, just a rough list.

Good Vibrations, Beach Boys Like a Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan Spirit in the Sky, Norman Greenbaum Heroin, The Velvet Underground These would be some I'd consider, I think 50 songs is impossible but good luck; this should help me with my list. |

Yes, only two weeks ago you defined melody as
'A melody, also known as a tune, is combined with harmony to create a pitch, which gives music(In my opinion)it's richness, and distinguishes it from poetry with a beat' which is obviously a definition written by someone who actually has no idea what he is defining. |
