They're actually pretty good. They're what I think of when people say melodic hardcore. They're like the evolution of Dag Nasty. So like don't actually put that album up because no one likes it but me but I thought a mention was necessary.

The Feelies-Crazy Rythms deserves it for being like most underrated overrated or overrated underrated post-punk album.

Those are all too mainstream and unhip.

Except for Highway 61, which IMO is the worst album out of those.

Aside from 61 and BOTT, nothing by Dylan really impresses me outside of lyrical content. Blonde on Blonde I didn't care for at all.

And another thing. Whats so "poetic" about Odelays lyrics? One thing that stands out about that album is how spectacularly random and meaningless the lyrics are.

Son of JayJamJah 08-01-2007 08:46 AM

I'll tell y'all a thing or two about hip just as soon as mine gets replaced.

Sorry if the music I liked as a kid and young adult is so good its become mainstream and stood the test of time.

I am surprised anyone young likes Dylan all that much. He can't sing or play the guitar and John Popper must want to kill himself when he hears Bob on the Harmonica, Dylans impact was more that of a social pioneer who related especially well to the people my Sisters age (older then me). Here friends all loved Dylan and would follow him up and down the east coast every year. The Beatles had Beatlemania, but Dylans fans would have died for him.

Just about anything that is good to my ears is considered lame by alterna hipsters. Accessibility and musicianship seems to turn them off.

*To Crowquill: Emphasis on seems.

And thank you for telling the truth about Dylans Harmonica playing. It annoys me when people say hes the best, when in reality hes just the only Harmonica player they can think of.

Howard Levy. Now THAT is a Harmonica player.

or folk/punk standards are much more appealing.
and I'm not sure what you're complaining about the artists on the list are hardly obscure or bad
