Twilight Princess?

The only Zelda to use an orchestra instead of strictly MIDI =)

On the subject of video game music....

I'd like to plug one of the most remarkable video game composers of our
time Nobuo Uematsu who did the score for the Final Fantasy series et. al.
This largely untrained (but natural genius) composer from Japan is among the finest video game composers out there. The soundtracks of most of the Final Fantasy video games are available online as well as the printed notation for some of the Final Fantasy VII songs, the Final Fantasy that really got some musical attention from the music world.

Uematsu works as a team and is primarily a computer/synth composer and does not work with a keyboard hardly at all. A mental composer who programs directly into a computer, but has the most remarkable ear for rich harmonies and splendid melody lines.

I'm sure the OSTs are easily obtainable online by searching Uematsu or Final Fantasy.

Sincerely, JRM Yurshta

Omnikron has a soundtrack by Bowie, I seem to recall it being pretty good (in a weird kind of way).

I maybe got 1/30th through that game before I decided it was not worth my time.

The music didn't strike me as being particularly noteworthy either.

best video-game songs imo are:
Sonic: Knight of the wind,Seven Rings In Hand, Reach For The Stars, Believe in Myself, A New Venture

^I'll admit that the soundtracks for the Sonic series are a huge guilty pleasure of mine (except for the soundtrack for Shadow the Hedgehog, but that game sucked aside from a few boss fights). Even Sonic 06 had an alright OST.

So, what other OSTs do I love? Let's see what I can think of at the moment:
Bayonetta
Cave Story
Katamari Damacy
Kingdom Hearts (the soundtrack is actually what got me into music, and it was also the first album that I bought. Hell, every game in the series has had a great soundtrack)
Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire
Portal 2
Shadow of the Colossus
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Meat Boy

I'd think of more, but I'm really tired at the moment.

Best soundtrack comes from an obscure Genesis game called Skitchin'
