Paul McCartney: Wings- 'Band on the Run'

Catchy pop album with great songs like the title track, 'Jet', and 'Helen Wheels'. Recorded in Legos, Nigeria with very basic production. Considered by many to be one of the best albums, sonicly, of the 70's.

John Lennon: 'Imagine'

'Imagine' and 'Jealous Guy' are FM radio staples untill the end of time, but I feel the rest of the album is hit-and-miss. The very nasty 'How Do You Sleep' is a direct attack on Paul, who never rebutted publicly because he was afraid of Lennon's sharp wit. Phil Spector wall of sound production.

George Harrison: 'All Things Must Pass'

A gracefull, beautifull, album of rock and slow ballads. 'Beware of Darkness', 'Wah-wah', 'My Sweet Lord' for a triple album there's remarkably little filler. More Spector 'Wall of sound', but it sounds better suited to the music than 'Imagine' does.

I know there's gonna be 'Plastic Ono Band', 'Dark Horse' and 'At The Speed of Light' fans that are going to dispute my choices.

I like All Things Must Pass better then Dark Horse. I think it's the best post-Beatles release easily.

I never followed their solo careers too much. There was a couple of tracks from Mcartneys FLAMING PIE album I liked and Lennon's I'M LOSING YOU is a little gem. Ringo's work on THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE was legendary too!

two way tie between 'band on the run' and 'imagine' for me. although unlike the beatles albums, i feel like none of the solo albums are complete... i never want to listen to them front to back.

All things must pass is arguably George Harrison's greatest work ever, including with the beatles

I'm gonna have to go with John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Paul & Linda McCartney's Ram. It's so powerful. The effort that was put into it really shows. I'll just rank The Beatles post-break up albums. One to five.

I don't even really want to put Imagine on there. There's far too much filler. But the strong tracks are really strong, so whatever.

I really like Lennon's album Imagine a lot and listened to it frequently back then. I also preferred McCartney's album Ram to his first solo effort.

Lennon's swan song 'Milk & Honey' has to be mentioned, it is a great album.
