Man Without Country - Foe
If you see this then you MUST hear Closet Addicts Anonymous off this record. I really love almost every single song off this album. The music is always flooded with atmospheric synths and the songs have an amazing way of making you hate society one second and lay back and chill the next.

Aesop Rock - Skelethon
It took me too long to find this guy. If you want to hear modern hip hop brought into intelligence (Replace all of the times Lil Wayne says "Nigga" with a big fancy word and songs with plot and you've reached Aesop) then definitely check this album out. I recommend Fryerstarter and Zero Dark Thirty,

Four Tet - Beautiful Rewind
I know we aren't supposed to do vague descritions but all I can say about this album is that it's incredible. Listen to the first 2 songs Gong and Parallel Jalebi.

Dirty Gold - Angel Haze
I listened to her EP a year ago and didn't realize she released an album (about a week ago actually? Good timing I'd say) until two days ago. Angels & Airwaves and Battle Cry are worth checking out.

The Unforgiving - Within Temptation
Listening to it right now for the first time, actually. I'm halfway through and am already in love.

On the new album they re-recorded their older songs as either instrumentals or more sparsely vocal tracks. It's a great album but doesn't accurately represent their main releases. A good starting point is their first album, The Decline of British Sea Power which has a more post-punk sound. Their 3rd release, Do You Like Rock Music?, aims more towards indie-rock (at times I'm reminded of Arcade Fire). I also liked their last studio album, Machineries of Joy, as it was kind of a mix of all the styles they've explored up til now.

Some friends say BSP is an acquired taste that builds slowly. I can agree with that but for me once they catch on, I find there's no letting go. They're a band I can listen to under any mood and their albums only get better with time.

Davol - Nature Of The Beast (1992)

Pretty bitchin' video gamey / MIDI-ish New Age from the golden age of early 90's keyboard pop instrumentality. You dig?

Dr. John - Babylon (1969)

Ain't no cure for the voodoo hailin', someone-put-LSD-in-my-coffee summertime blues.

It's a terrific album, I really wish they'd put out something new. The last new material from them came out in 2009.
