I haven't gotten my strength up to tackle that 4 hour monstrosity quite yet.

I had no idea that four hour monstrosity existed. I really need to give that listen.

I'm loving the new album 'A Moon Shaped Pool' was incredibly disappointed with 'King of Limbs'.

did you hear about how this album was recalled for that uncleared cars sample? bummer ocasek wouldn't authorize it and the track had to be edited, but still a great album with or without the changes

Spoiler for Black Tamoburine's Complete Works:

Black Tambourine by Black Tambourine

Compilation of Black Tambourine's complete works. I just love it, and wish they had been able to create more before splitting.

Favorite songs are probably For Ex-Lovers Only and Drown, though the entire album is a masterpiece imo

Spoiler for Sonic Youth's Dirty:

Dirty by Sonic Youth

Another masterpiece. Particularly fond of Kim Gordon's tracks on this album.

Favorites include Swimsuit Issue, Drunken Butterfly, Sugar Kane and Créme Brûlèe

Spoiler for Tonetta's 777:

777 by Tonetta

There's just something about Tonetta's works that just feel great to listen to for me. From the depressing My Bro and the rather jocular Really Nice Cock, I've been loving this album since introduced to it.

Yeah, crazy isn't it? Pretty sure there's a video out there of him destroying all the vinyl copies. Like you said though, the album is great regardless and has some rather impressive replay value.

This sounds EXACTLY what I imagine a couple members from Smith Westerns and the drummer from Unknown Mortal Orchestra would make. I think Goofle might like this, considering all the pop he enjoys.

Their other stuff must be truly deplorable then. I listened to Purple today and concluded it was some the worst generic crap "metal" I've heard in a long time.

When I heard the lead singer and guitarist from one of my favorite bands, Queens Of The Stone Age, was teaming with the drummer from Nirvana, I got super excited to hear this. And when I found out this has John Paul Jones on bass and synth my excitement could barely be contained.

I loved it start to finish. The album is pretty similar to Queens Of The Stone Age's album Songs For The Deaf. Unlike songs for the deaf it's less of a metal album. The music doesn't have unhinged metal songs. The album also feels a bit more engineered and not as raw. None of this takes away from the album. It never ceases and continues its onslaught amazing music start to finish. Love the album.
