Considering I am an avid hater of Celebration Rock, it is miles ahead of that record.

Joey Purp - iiiDrops (2016)

The first half of this is pretty badass. It continues to be decent, but definitely drops off a little. Nice deep, and often spacious, beats with good features and rapping overall.

Im digging this alot, known about this album for a long while but Im only really starting to appreciate it more. I like the style a lot as well, and I can only think of a handful of albums similar. Im looking for just very easy to listen to latin-jazz or latin jazz funk such as this. Any recommendations?

Choice cut: Corsarios

Ozric Tentacles—The YumYum Tree (2009)
I had never even heard of this band until recently, but damn is this album good. Pure instrumental electronic spacerock that consistently transports you to other worlds. Imagine Hawkwind mixed with Black Moth Super Rainbow mixed with the Yoshida Brothers and you're kind of in the ballpark.

Paul Jebanasam - Continuum

Jebanasam's use of soundtrack esque synth drones, scattered ripples of sound, and stuttery withered samples come together and make some really great ambient music. Ideally I think that ambient music should be a sort of auditory narrative that you can get lost in, which Jebanasam accomplishes pretty well in this album. There are three long explorations on this album, with easy to remember titles such as "
depart as | air dx stop ∂ρ/∂ /dt somewhere = +∇⋅(ρ sigma*(y waiting -x) v)=0 ∂ρ/dy/dt for = you x dim," and each of them has some really jaw dropping and surprising moments throughout. The stark contrast between the really lush sounds and the interrupting samples creates some really fascinating pieces. Some parts remind me of It's Such a Beautiful Day in a way.

Not the best album of the year imo, but it is definitely one of the more beautiful and evocative ones that I've heard in a long time. If you've got ears, you've gotta listen.
