I haven't listened to Album Of the Year for a while, but it's a very good album from what I remember. Ashes To Ashes, Helpless and Pristina are a few I recall being particularly awesome. As for Angel Dust, top stuff!

^ Much more jazzy than what I've heard of the guy, with some fairly complex song structures and odd time signatures. Great stuff, though I'm more a fan of his more lyric-centric, ethereal works like Secrets Of the Beehive.

Yeah Album of the Year is pretty underrated. I love Helpless, She Loves Me Not, and Stripsearch the most.

I'm playing King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime right now and it's my least-favorite Patton-era album, but I still give it a 4 or 4.5 out of 5 rating. It's still FNM!

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Beautiful mix of Modern Classical, Electroacoustic, & Ambient.
To get a feel for his music, here's Rytm to Niesmiertelnosc from his album Treny.. because I didn't see any tracks from Pentral.

I couldn't really choose.. I'm still basking in all the greatness I've found lately. His stuff, Hammock, Richard Skelton, Desiderii Marginis, Ágætis Byrjun (took me awhile), etc.

I'm digging the shit out of Night Music by Etienne Jaumet

He's the synth guy in Zombie Zombie and this solo album is some kind of dark experimental version of 90s dance music.

Falling Forward - Dand Me Down

Great early 90s emo album from Louisville, KY, featuring Chris Higdon who would eventually form Elliott along with the drummer and bassist. If you like the early and more raw Elliott sound, you'll dig this.

^ I love this album so much. Say what you like about how it all may as well be date-stamped by a certain weekend in 1985, but Small Talk is a belter of a song. Conclusive evidence that 80s pop could actually be quite good.

The Raveonettes - In and Out of Control

I really like this! it is so much more accessible than Lust Lust Lust. The noise on Lust was great, but I couldn't stand listening to the entire album, so In and Out of Control is a step in the right direction (though many probably disagree :b)

(my first real post! )
