Had Jarvis Coc ker's most recent album on in the car all day today as I did my errands today... very very cool album... it's got some very Pulp - ish overtones to it, of course, that's probably to be expected, really, but it's also got a nice harder edged sound to it, as well as Jarvis's usual penchant for a witty sexual lyric or a bit of overt innuendo... this of course one of the things that always attracted me to his songwriting...

After having it for quite a while, I've recently fallen in love with Boris' Flood. Up until a few days ago I had been listening to it nightly, actually.

After I realized this and checked out their proper albums, I was hooked. I imagine Morrissey's solo stuff to be in the same vein.
Very true, but I liked 'The Sound Of The Smiths: Best Of' and thought it was handled well. I have to order albums in by them because for reasons unknown nowhere around here supplies them. o_O ...utter blasphemy

Here's one that I've been waiting to buy for ages. I've already heard it to death but now I finally own it

Pretty much digging this album because I'm totally in a new wave/synth pop mood.

Pantha du Prince - The Bliss

I have no idea what's up with this guy's name, the story behind it if any, but I find it pretty lame. The music, however, is quite smooth. I guess it's basically microhouse/ambient techno/minimal techno. I don't listen to too much in this style (except ambient techno, much of which gets mixed up with IDM), but this caught my eye on another forum and it's very melodic and smooth stuff. There are a few 10+ minute songs but they just fly right by you. Not in the sense that they're so minimal you don't notice it's there, but more like it's so smooth it's like you're just cruising on the freeway through some beautiful landscapes or something, in no rush to get anywhere, just enjoying the ride on the smooth German-engineered roads.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
