I love this kind of music, country influenced folk played by two brilliantly talented musicians.

Curse Ov Dialect - Wooden Tongues (2006)

The best hip-hop album I've heard in what seems like centuries. These Australian blokes posses a particularly wicked grasp of flow and sampling that I don't see too often: such is their talent that they even morph 'Drip Drip' from Comus's First Utterance into a near-danceable stompfest (see below). Respect!

This album cover has always bugged me. Where is the second guy's head?

Thanks to abdullah for hooking me up with this one:

Really really catchy indie pop. Sticking them in that genre sounds so stale, as if you know what to expect. These guys offer something a bit more than your average indie pop band (to me, anyway). These tunes get stuck in my head so easily, every time I pass by it on my ipod I feel like playing it again.

Sonny Rollins eh. Nice Funnily enough, I was only listening to Saxophone Colossus the other day - dunno if it's a proper album or not, but it's definitely one you should look out for if you haven't already all the same.

Rain Tree Crow - Rain Tree Crow

I listened to this album about 50 times in the first week that I had it. Something about it makes it that addictive; probably how short the total running time is, and how that always leaves you wanting to go back for more. I love the melancholy vibe there is to this and the arty kinda blend between lo-fi jazz, new wave, folk rock and ambient that it pulls off so well.

Cujo - Adventures in Foam

It's really quite excellent. And somehow the re-release cover art ends up more dated looking than the original. Way to go!

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Free the Robots - Ctrl Alt Delete

I am totally in love with this album right now. It's not quite as jazzy or psychedelic as last year's EP but it definitely makes up for those with it's straight up electronica/ glitch hop approach. I would highly advise fans of electronic music to give this artist a listen. Here's a little taste:
