Bob Dylan - Good As I Been To You

I've said it before and I'll say it again - this album is sooooo much better than I thought it would've been, seeing as it's a collection of solo covers of old folk standards. Dylan's guitar is terrific throughout. Plus, he does a version of Hard Times on it, which is basically my favourite traditional folk song.

Elvis Costello - Secret, Profane and Sugarcane

The sound of Elvis Costello going bluegrass. Such a good album this. Even my girlfriend likes it, and she listens to garbage like the Backstreet Boys and Usher on a daily basis.

Jellybean!- Breakfast Burritos and Coffee to Go

It's a girl, with a ukelele, who covers rap songs and it is completely hilarious and adorable and I love it.

Club 8 - The Boy Who Couldn't Stop Dreaming

Very relaxed 60's influenced acoustic pop. All the songs are fairly strong and addicting.

Carach Angren - Death Came Through On A Phantom Ship (2010)

Probably one of the best metal albums I've heard all year... some great guitar riffs/ drum beats, and told in a a traditional story fashion, none of that concept stuff. Essentially it reads about a ship gone looking for The Flying Dutchman (makes sense considering the band is Dutch) however there were a few moments where I thought they were singing about the Mary Celeste. I need to go through a listen with the lyrics on hand, but for the most part this is a great album if you're into symphonic black metal, which I know oh so many of you are.

Fingathing - Superhero Music

instrumental beats, RJD2 style

this track is especially ass-kicking.
