The Depreciation Guild - In Her Gentle Jaws

This is the first band that uses the chiptune sound that doesn't annoy the hell out of me. An awesome blend of chiptune and shoegaze...at first I didn't think it would work but this album kicks some ass. The two styles are blended seamlessly.

Some of the songs use way more of the chiptune sounds, but this song is awesome so it's the one I went with.

Edit:

Ok, I had to throw in another song. This is too good.

Say Hi (aka Say Hi to Your Mom) - Ferocious Mopes

Mostly because I am in love with this song ("I Think I'll Be a Good Ghost")

But the rest of it's really good too.

Dillinger Four - Situationist Comedy

Now I've been enjoying this album for many years, but Violent & Funky's recent post in the "last purchase/download" thread made me throw it on the lil' iPod. It's just amazing how great of a mood listening to Dillinger Four puts me in. Every single time, no matter the album. (see first entry in my journal for example ). They are such a fun band, they make me want to run out into the sun and jump around in public with a big smile on my face. And drink booze.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Recently downloaded these and I'm enjoy both of them. It's my second Animal Collective album and it's different from Merriweather Post Pavilion. But in a good way. Not really sure which one I like more.

CunninLynguists I'd only heard snatches of before but I'm really glad I got this. It's damn good. I've been trying to find more hip-hop lately cause I don't have that much, but when hiphop clicks with me I really really enjoy it.

It Bites - The Tall Ships

A personal favorite record over the last two years that I find myself listening to as of late, and the closest to perfection, in my humble opinion, that proggy pop-rock can get. Absolutely cracking harmonies, glorious guitar work, and some wonderfully emotive songwriting and production values to give everything just the right amount of color.
