I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

while it's less "GEMINIIIII BECOMMMINGGG THE TRIIIIIPOOOOOOD!!!!" than Anemone and Choirs, it's still a good album. Oh, and I think Toby Driver's been a bit sad recently. He's not screaming as much.

Less sad, but more mad (in the insane sense). I'd say Toby has descended into insanity; The way he cries "MY HEARTTTTT WASSSSSS LIIIKKKEEEE A CRUMPLED PIECE OF PAPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" on "Whisper Ineffable" is proof positive of it.

that's actually a good point. upon my second listen of "Whisper Ineffable", I can hear the insanity in his voice. I like that.

That'd be my favorite song of the year thus far (Well, without putting much thought into it). Few songs have that much depth to them.

I have no idea what the song sounds like but this makes it sound like a humorous one.

Imagine a drum-line underlying a bass, small guitar part and horns playing augmented-fourths (ie they sound out of place and almost demonic.)

THEN, over that say "MYYYY HEARTTTT WASSS LIKE A CRUMPLED PIECE OF PAPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" completely out of key to the music you just imagined. That is essentially the song. Or go to 3:18-ish in this video. It's live but you'll still make out his insanity.

I posted another of their albums in this thread a few weeks ago (or whenever, my sense of time is shot lately), but this one's even better.

Etc.

Of course he has now turned into a mainstream pile of crap (something he said he wouldn't do judging by video interviews I saw of him) but his debut released 7 years ago ( He was under 20 at the time) is a classic slice of inner city Grime and was a breath of fresh air then and it still stands up very well. Huge Dubstep vibe to the album and he definitely helped that genre get noticed.

Yeah, that's a great album. It's too bad he seems hellbent on emulating generic American rappers these days instead of growing the unique style he had on that album.
