Old Time Relijun - See Now and Know

2018 EP and it's as awesome as you would expect from these modern post punk legends. Hearing a very heavy Dave Thomas influence within Arrington de Dionyso on this album.

Nate Young - Volume Two: Nightshade

Volume One was awesome but this one is full of more engrossing soundscapes and surprisingly proggy moments.

Merge - Long Distance (1994/2013)

Ridiculously obscure album. It was reissued on vinyl a few years ago, wanted because the whole album has a gorgeous atmosphere reminiscent of Pat Metheny's sound circa 1982's Offramp period, albeit with a more experimental and at times Brian Eno-tinged sense of ambient exploration.

The Momes - Spiralling

What an awesome little eclectic post punk/indie album!

^Cannot recommend this album enough. Pinches of This Heat, Beefheart, Joy Division, Sonic Youth, DNA, Megadeth, Red Krayola Sun City Girls, and just generally badass ****.

Fukk me this is good. Straightforward black metal but so beautiful, atmospheric, and WARM. The production is unlike anything I've heard for black metal of this variety. The guitar is great, and there is unobtrusive, tasteful synth that weaves throughout.

It's unexpected, but this is currently my favorite album of the year. It is immensely listenable.

I don't listen to a whole lot of hip hop but I stumbled across this on Spotify by accident once and haven't been able to stop spinning it. Pipe Smoke is a stellar track. Can't post urls yet but check it out.
