^ I've been meaning to check them out for a long time. Which record is that?

This one's a trip down memory lane - I used to play the hell out of it when I was 15 and I still enjoy it now. Edge Hill is fantastic!

The notion of solo albums by drummers doesn't tend to excite me (Robert Wyatt excluded), but this sure is an interesting piece of work.

Haven't had my ass kicked by thrash in quite a while, so this has been refreshing.

I haven't stopped listening to this... Brompton Oratory is one of my fave Cave tracks.

It's half of a split LP with another early DC hardcore band, Faith, from, I think, 1983.
It was also reissued in 2002.

Ripped out this 2007 classic again recently. Tis still a top album. Still probably my favourite hip hop album of the year.

Yeah so this is pretty much one of the best albums of 2009. Guy Clark's voice and song writing ability is on that level of Johnny Cash.

Elvis Costello-The Best Of The First 10 Years
Much as you'd expect.

^ Much better than you'd expect from an 80s Iggy album, and has a few of his best songs on it with Isolation, Shades and Real Wild Child.

^ And this here's Starfish's longer, darker and ultimately hotter cousin.

There's a gig floating around online of a special radio broadcast gig he did for the release of this album in some small club. The material off that album really stands up well played live against his older stuff.

Hmm, I'll have to have a look out for that one. The album on the whole's good enough, but a bit on the dated side (as I'm sure you know) - I'd imagine it sounds even better with all the studio polish taken away by the live environment. Cheers for the heads-up.
