IRON MAIDEN - IRON MAIDEN

Importing all of my Iron Maiden into iTunes and am absolutely loving back to this one right now. Paul Di'anno is not my favourite Maiden vocalist and this may not be my favourite Maiden album because of that but as a collection of songs i think the debut is indeed the strongest Maiden album and Paul Di'anno did a fantastic job on this album and the follow up, Killers. I just prefer Bruce Dickinson's work with the band overall.

Pia Fraus - After Summer

The twee-est shoegaze album ever. Very straightforward with not many risks taken, but still damn good nonetheless. Usually, shoegaze is about massive amounts of dissonance with a drowned out yet dreamy melody. Pia Fraus get rid of a lot of the dissonance but still make the music enough about dreamy guitars to count this as a shoegaze album.

Always a pleasure to inspire someone to check out an album. I try not to talk about albums in here unless I'm sure other people will enjoy it (as long as they are partial to the genre I'm talking about in the first place). Hope you like it!

'Young Bride' was great live, everyone really got into it. 'Branches' was the second encore and last song of the night, everyone got very emotional too.

You should check out 'The Courage Of Others' as well, another damn fine album by them. It's much more Celtic and earthy sounding (if I am making any sense there).

I often check out albums people post about in here, even if i dont always comment on it. I have checked out a few of yours i'm sure. I may be way off but was it you who once posted about Scarling? If it wasn't, it doesn't matter. If i was to look back through your posts I know that I would find a few of yours that I grabbed.

I listen to them, but I can't remember if I ever posted about them in here. Either way, I'm glad at least one person is using my posts for music recs. That is what I use this thread for all the time...I go off exploring music on my own and 1 out of maybe 5 or 6 albums gets the "I guess I'll be listening to this quite a bit" review. Randomly picking an album from this thread increases the odds to about 1 out of every 2 or 3 albums.

You don't even have to give a description for this album really; the cover pretty much does the job for you. Easily the most harrowing album I've ever heard and one of my favourites.

Any particular reason, did you find it boring or something? Because I was captivated right at the start and in love by the time the organ(I think) kicks in in the first song. I've listened to it like four times since I got it and it's been amazing every time.
