Hmmm... I'm not sure what to think of that description haha. Anybody wanna post a video of their favorite song on there just because I'm curious now to hear what it sounds like?

Hell yes! Why in the hell did I wait so long to get this? Oh I know, because when it first came out, I assumed it would be much different from The Knife, and the song I heard kind of confirmed that. But nah, this is closer to The Knife than I thought (at least the last album), and it's really great so far!

Great album! That's my favorite release of '09.

Demonic Death Judge - Kneel (2010)

Finnish stoner/sludge metal group I downloaded off a whim yesterday. Easily one of the best of of the year, just raw, catchy, heavy, and good, reminds you that sometimes it's good to be dirty.

Holy ****! I was just about to recommend you this band since you're into stoner and sludge :D these guys are great!

Hah well I appreciate the thought and it's nice to see that my music posts don't always go unseen. I've mostly been looking at what's been released this year when it comes to stoner metal because I'm thinking about making a series of playlists on my 8tracks account to specific genres, sort of a 'best of the year' type stuff. I definitely will go back and check out more from the band Cathedral though, their newest album The Guessing Game (2010) is long, but it's well worth the listen, and apparently their '90's stuff is really worth looking out for.

Cathedral`s 90`s stuff is definitely worth the effort. Their first three albums are classics of the genre. The debut "Forest of Equilibrium" is a doom metal classic. The next two "The Eternal Mirror" and "The Carnival Bizarre" mix in stoner metal and are another two classic albums. From there on I felt they lost their spark and they released more accessible sounding albums. I haven`t hear the latest release though.

Minimal Man - The Shroud Of (1981)

The more I hear from this late 70s San Francisco post-punk/avant-garde/electronic scene, the more I'm convinced it was the most exciting time and place, maybe even more than no wave New York of the same time.

This is the first proper album of Patrick Miller aka Minimal Man, visual and performance artist turned musician. After only two listens I absolutely love it. It's brilliant, haunting, hypnotic, unsettling and...well, minimal :) as can be perfectly heard in closing track 'She Was a Visitor'.

I'm definitely going to check this out but now I'm going to have a very biased opinion because you said it's better than no wave  But we'll see... I have to give credit to San Francisco in the 70's as it does have The Screamers.
