Say Hi - Um, Uh Oh

I am admittedly biased going into this album because I love everything Eric does...but still it's a great pop album with really interesting atmospheric instrumentals and good lyrics...business as usual really.

Underworld - Oblivion With Bells
I listened to dubnobasswithmyheadman a while back and loved it...but this is just...wow. Amazing electronic.

Strawberry Alarm Clock - Incense and Peppermints
Another 60's psych gem. Nothing too radical, but there's a lot of catchy stuff going on here.

Sven Weisemann at it again creating some amazing ghostlike 2 step. If you like Burial, don't even think about getting it. Just get it.

Well, it's been a while since I have posted something here, but let's see, what albums are currently on my hit list...

Dark Tranquility - We Are the Void
R.E.M - Accelerate (ramping up for the new album - comes soon!)
Midnight Oil - Redneck Wonderland (gotta love this one, still relevant today after 14 years.... love it!)
The Church - Untitled # 23 (best album I've heard in years, literally... no one makes them as good as these guys...)

The Austrasian Goat - Stains of Resignation

this is a bit different from the first album...with a bit more folk mixed in.....the string arrangements work really well his unique mixture of funeral doom metal and black metal....actually i'm really enjoying this album....as winter has decided to return

Nah, I can think of quite a few I'd have over that one myself.

Still a great LP though.

I love that album. Very underrated, even by Midnight Oil's standards. It doesn't get a lot better than Blot, Seeing Is Believing or the title track.

Hmn, speaking of excellent jazz releases-

2010 was something of a scarce year for real ear-opening jazz releases that weren't crazy avant-garde, but this was a real wonderful find for me last Halloween. Soundwise, there are numerous nods to Miles Davis circa In A Silent Way and some of Pharaohs Sanders output, but een a casual listener can tell that this record still possesses quite a bit of personality all it's own. I'm looking forward to more from this bunch!

The first track sets this album up beautifully.

I am absolutely loving this. I cannot recommend it highly enough, actually. Superb drumming, although the mixing on bits is a little off for the highs...but my goodness. Brilliant record.
