The first six tracks of this rivals Hissing Fauna in pure pop excellence, but unfortunately the quality declines a bit in the second half. Complete shame, but it's still got some of Of Montreal's best tracks on it. |

Agreed. The second half really disappoints me, actually. The first half is so damn good that it confuses me every time I listen to it. Kevin Barnes must have gotten bored or something. |
The second half DOES have Spike the Senses, which is my favourite song on the album(well, maybe tied with Lysergic Bliss).
|
Spike the Senses is pretty good, but Disconnect the Dots, Lysergic Bliss, Rapture Rapes the Muses, and Eros' Entropic Tundra, all in a cluster, which are some of the band's best songs.

Mount Kimbie - Crooks & Lovers Some nice soulful, R&B twinged down tempo business with a bit of dubstep thrown in for good measure. Even though It dabbles in some diverse electronica sub-genres throughout the record, it still manages to be a really cohesive album that's great to listen to from start to finish.
http://cdn.pitchfork.com/media/kimbie.jpg Scuba - Triangulation Dark, intelligent breakbeat/house/trance? I read a review that called it dubstep, but I only got that at certain points. I really like it though. http://byczek.files.wordpress.com/20...angulation.jpg |
