Listened to that song, loved it, decided to check out a few more songs off the album.

This track is seriously beautiful.

Get the whole thing man, and be sure to read the lyrics.

Tim Hecker - Ravedeath 1972 (2011)

If I was ever given an opportunity to wander through some of the large abandoned cities and towns in our world (Battleship Island, Prypiat, etc.) this would be my album of choice. It's a bleak, barren, ambient album that truly makes you feel like you're completely alone, yet I wouldn't describe it as a dark album. I know that doesn't really make a lot of sense and believe me I've been trying to wrap my head around this for months (I first got this back in April). If you're into ambient, drone, electronic, noise, etc. then you really should give this one a try. If you're a gamer and enjoy the Fallout series, try listening to this album while wandering the wastes to see if you hear what I hear in its post-apocalyptic sounds.

Well first I'm going to say that Beirut is one of my favorite musicians, so I knew I was going to like this album right off the bat, but it really is better than I even thought. The vocals are beautiful as usual, the instrumentation is intricate and lush, with great use of strings. Zach brings out his trademark ukulele too, and I love that. Great stuff.

^I want to hear that again, I listened to a 192 but now I'm waiting for a flac copy.

Put some bloody effort into it! This is "Albums You're Digging II" not "Post Pictures of Albums You've Listened To". If you're digging these albums, tell us why, maybe we might want to try them too, however it's kind of impossible when you can't even be bothered to tell us the name of the artist and album.

Crash of Rhinos - Distal

One of the albums of the year thus far. Amazing emo record from, get this... an ENGLISH band. Dynamic and unpredictable, it has this sweeping, hugely powerful sound to it that takes the likes of SDRE, American Football and Mock Orange, and ramps it all up a notch. I strongly recommend this.

how can you fuse Brazilian carnival music with psychedelia and make it sound so good?
