Excellent psychedelic space rock

Good ****. Shere Kahn is one of his best tracks. This and the Appleseed EP are two of my favourite works of his and alot of people haven't even listened to them. Honestly, I prefer Aesop's producing over Blockhead's. Whenever he drops his next album, I hope he goes solo.

Ain't that a damn shame. If people would step back off of None Shall Pass and even the amazing Labor Days and check out his unreleased stuff (if you got his discography online, its in there), Appleseed (absolutely amazing, yup), Music For Earthworms, Float they may understand and enjoy Aesop Rock more.

I think it sucks None Shall Pass is his popular album... it's my least favorite and everyone's stuck there and then went home. :usehead:

We got some really funny promos out of that album though lol. None Shall Pass is alright but it definitely doesn't compare to his older stuff. Labor Days is somewhat popular I guess, but yeah, not even Float has gotten the credit it deserves. The lack of popularity on Appleseed though... damn. The proucing on that album alone is enough, before you add Aesop mcing over it.

I enjoyed this much more than Moon Safari. It's a darker album I think, one of the better of its kind. It's a bit sleuthy, and a bit sharp. Very good.

Good movie too.

This album's fucking nuts. It veers from dark cabaret to spoken word to heavy gothic rock quite nicely. Top stuff and that.

Some good old 50s vocal jazz, except this rather unusually doesn't feature much (if any) piano, being led instead by some pretty neat guitar and double bass work.

Makes for good night-in-on-your-lonesome listening which, given how I'm broke for at least the next week, I expect I'll find myself listening to a lot more of in the near future.

this is an amazingly surprising mix of post rock, shoegaze type stuff from Italy...with a very interesting twist.....just a bit off from the typical stuff while sound like it belongs there....does that even make sense? :)

this is amazing!....i suppose i would simply call this dark psychedelic music.....its beautiful and mesmerizing

I also enjoyed this more than Moon Safari.

They are recording stuff for a remastered version of the silent film Le Voyage Dans La Lune. From the clips I saw, the music doesn't exactly fit the film but it sounds good anyway. Air does really well when they are focused and have a theme.

I prefer '10,000 Hz Legend' to be honest.

Black Monk Time (1966) by The Monks

Every once in a while I am plagued with a massive craving for early garage rock, and I have to tell you... this album always helps control it (my garage rock craving). With its vague lyrics, whiny/raspy vocals, spazzy organ solos, and dissonant, feedback-ridden guitar playing, this has always been an absolute favorite of mine among 60s rock music. It's raw, stripped-down, and loud... What more could you ask for from proto-punk/garage rock?

It's a fairly important release, and if you have yet to grace your ears with this album then please do so.
