Yes. First part of the album's rather middle of the road, but it comes alive towards the end, and I really like it being a fan of both men before they collaborated on the effort together.

I just might have to pick it up. I am just starting to get into reggae. As for hip hop, I have been a fan of some, namely that which is not just about material wealth and loose women...in other words, stuff that's actually about something with substance.

Distant Relatives has very little at all to do with reggae.
Are you familiar with Damian Marley's work? It's nothing like his fathers.
If you're looking for reggae, try Stephen or Ziggy.

Still, pick it up. It's a good album. You won't be disappointed.

People ask me sometimes if I like rap and I say yes, the good kind.

They're confused after that.

Luke Haines playes various Auteurs & Baader Meinhoff songs backed up by a full orchestra.

Could quite happily play this all day.

That reminds me, I have a review to write for you.

Take your time, my unemployment keeps getting postponed so I've not had time to write anything myself yet.

What's the idea there, that we'll both write review for the same album?

Nice new avatar by the way.

The kind of thing I'm going for is you write something about it based on first impressions and I write something about it based on hearing it 100 times a week for the last 15 years.

...or something to that effect anyway.
